Roof rejuvenation is a spray-on treatment that restores natural oils in aging asphalt shingles. Our RoofRestor™ solution penetrates the shingle’s top layer, restoring flexibility, improving granule adhesion, and helping the roof shed water as it did when new.
Q2. How can I tell if my roof needs rejuvenation?
Look for any of the following signs:
- Shingles older than 8–10 years
- Excess granules collecting in your eavestroughs
- Shingle edges curling or cupping
- Early cracking or moss growth
Q3. Is the treatment safe for people, pets, and the environment?
Yes. RoofRestor™ is a 100% soy-based, food-grade oil with no harmful solvents. It’s biodegradable and safe around gardens, pets, and children. Any overspray simply rinses away with a hose or natural rainfall.
Q4. How long does the process take?
A two-person crew can complete the average detached home in 2–3 hours, including preparation, application, and cleanup.
Q5. What about rain or temperature?
- Temperature: Application requires outdoor air above 0 °C (32 °F).
- Rain: RoofRestor™ begins absorbing within the first hour. Once absorbed, normal rainfall will not wash it off.
Q6. Will my roof look different?
Yes. The treatment slightly darkens shingles, often restoring them closer to their original color. Within a few weeks, you’ll notice fewer light patches and an overall fresher appearance.
Q7. What warranty do you provide?
Every RoofRestor™ application includes a 5-year limited warranty covering loss of flexibility, granule adhesion, and structural integrity under normal weather conditions. If treated shingles degrade within five years, we re-treat the affected area at no cost.
Q8. How long has this technology been around?
Similar soy-based rejuvenators have been used by U.S. and Canadian Departments of Transportation for nearly 20 years to extend asphalt roadway life. Our supplier reformulated that proven chemistry specifically for residential shingles and validated it through independent testing by PRI (Pavement Research Institute).
Q9. What environmental benefit does rejuvenation offer?
Each treatment can delay tear-off by 5 years or more, keeping up to 3 tons of asphalt out of local landfills and reducing demand for new, petroleum-based shingles.
